animal messenger: ladybug
I was deep in conversation with my son Jack about all the reasons why recess, lunch, and dismissal are his favorite parts of school.
We were on the 23rd street bus in NYC on our way home and this time we actually got a seat.
About halfway home, I looked up and saw the consulate of Honduras.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Because the two of us are headed to Honduras next month with my daughter Sydney on a volunteer service trip.
And I’ve driven back and forth on 23rd street, to and from school for years.
Like 12 years.
So many trips back and forth that I could probably recite the storefronts almost as well as I can recite the ABCs.
And yet I never noticed the consulate until now.
Synchronicity?
Or just the brain tuning into something when it matters to you? When you focus and get clear? When you look for it?
I share this with you because it’s the very reason I do these animal messenger searches each month!
By now you may know that each month, I offer an animal messenger to my members. We learn its deeper meaning and then we search for it, “game-ifying” life and finding that animal in all sorts of places - from t-shirts to websites to seeing one in real life.
This past month was the frog. Thank you to those of you who posted or emailed me your frog photos!! From Frog Tape at Home Depot to plastic frogs sold on the street in Costa Rica, I loved every single one of them.
This month’s animal messenger?
We’ll search for the ladybug.
Ladybugs are thought to symbolize everything from protection to resilience to good luck.
There are over 6,000 ladybug species and they are dear to many people which is why they appear in the folklore and mythologies of many cultures.
So, as you move into these summer months, see if you can set an intention on where you want to be by the end of summer (what goal do you want to achieve? What do you hope to have accomplished?)
And then find your ladybug as a reminder that you are protected and safe.
That you are strong and resilient.
And that all the luck you need to move forward is right there for the taking.
You just have to get clear and tune in.
Happy searching!
With fierce love,
Alison
